Courses & enrollment

Stand up a class in under two minutes. Share one link and your roster fills itself.

Creating a course

  1. 1

    Open the Classroom surface

From the educator dashboard, click Courses in the side rail.

  2. 2

    New course

Give it a name (“AP Bio · Period 3”), a term, and an optional description. Pick a cover color so it's easy to spot at a glance.

  3. 3

    Share the join link

Every course has a join link and a short join code. Share either with your students — they'll be enrolled the moment they accept.

Enrolling students

Three ways:

  • Join link. Drop it in your syllabus, an email, or your LMS announcement. Easiest path.
  • Join code. Read it out loud the first day of class. Students enter it on their dashboard.
  • Bulk invite. Paste a list of student emails — SetFlow sends invitations on your behalf.

Note

If your school is on a SetFlow School plan with rosters synced from your SIS, your courses can be auto-enrolled — no link sharing required. See Admin console.

Roster management

From the course's People tab you can see everyone enrolled, drop students, and add co-teachers or TAs (with their own scoped permissions). Co-teachers can grade and edit assignments; TAs can grade but can't change course settings.

Archiving a course

At the end of a term, archive the course instead of deleting it. Students retain read-only access to their work and grades; you can unarchive any time to revisit. Archived courses don't count against any course limits on your plan.

Tip

Re-using a course next term? Open the archived course, click Duplicate, and SetFlow rebuilds the structure (assignments, rubrics, schedule) for the new term — you just invite the new roster.
