SetFlow
SetFlow

Google Classroom alternative

Google Classroom is a folder. SetFlow is an actual LMS.

Google Classroom shines at distributing assignments and collecting submissions. It doesn't ship a real gradebook, quiz engine, AI tutoring, or AI grading. SetFlow does — for free.

What SetFlow gives you that Google Classroom doesn't

A gradebook that actually keeps grades

Weighted categories (40% Exam / 30% Test / 15% Quiz / etc), rubrics, finalGrade override, transcript-ready CSV export.

Tori on every page

Reads class materials. Builds study schedules. Drafts parent emails. Tutors students in voice or text. None of that exists in Google Classroom.

AI grading that reads your rubric

30 essays graded in the time it used to take 3 — and every grade still goes through your final review.

Real quizzes, not Google Forms

Essay questions auto-scored with rubrics. Short-answer with AI feedback. Question banks. Time limits. Auto-grading for objective items.

BYODB so a school's data isn't on Google's servers

If your district doesn't want student records inside Google's infrastructure, SetFlow gives you that choice. Google Classroom doesn't.

LTI 1.3 — works alongside whatever you already use

You can keep Google Classroom for the assignment distribution and bolt on SetFlow for the gradebook + AI features.

Frequently asked

Why use SetFlow if Google Classroom is already free?
Both are free, but they solve different problems. Google Classroom is a way to hand assignments out and collect them back. SetFlow is a full learning management system — gradebook with weighted categories, real quiz engine, AI tutoring, AI grading. Most schools either run both or graduate from Google Classroom into SetFlow when their needs outgrow the folder model.
Can SetFlow replace Google Classroom?
Yes for the core workflow — distributing assignments, collecting submissions, providing feedback, managing rosters. SetFlow adds the real LMS layer on top (gradebook, rubrics, quiz engine) and the AI layer (tutoring, grading).
Does SetFlow integrate with Google?
Yes — single sign-on with Google Workspace, Google Drive material imports, and (in preview) Google Classroom roster sync. Sign-in via your school Google account works in one click.
How is SetFlow's AI different from anything Google offers?
Google Classroom does not ship an AI tutor. Gemini exists separately at gemini.google.com but it doesn't know your class, your rubric, your syllabus, or your student. Tori does — every Tori chat is scoped to the materials in that specific class.
Does SetFlow have a phone app like Google Classroom?
SetFlow is a mobile-optimised web app — installable as a PWA on iOS + Android with push notifications. We chose this over native apps because we ship weekly and a web app picks up every update instantly.
Does SetFlow work with Google Forms?
You don't need Google Forms for quizzes — SetFlow's quiz engine handles everything Forms does plus rubric-based grading, question banks, and time limits. If you want to keep using Forms, paste the link into a SetFlow assignment description.
